“Thank goodness Becca was there!! I had a very relaxed, comfortable labor and Becca's presence was very calming and supportive. We ended up with an unplanned home birth thanks to precipitous labor - that means the baby came so fast, we just didn't make it out the door! Technically this was considered an "unassisted" birth but that word doesn't feel right because Becca was absolutely indispensable in guiding my partner in catching the baby, telling us how to keep the baby warm, and helping us get to the hospital stat! We were all giddy with excitement after such an incredible birth, so having her there to share in the immediate joy was also a form of support. It was honestly the most perfect birth possible, and we are so grateful that Becca was there to help make it so.”

“Becca was absolutely amazing as our postpartum night doula! As a first time mom, I did not know what to expect when I came home from the hospital and was incredibly overwhelmed. Knowing we had Becca there to help us through this big life transition made my husband and I feel so much better. Becca’s kind nature and calming presence made us feel incredbly comfortable with her and also made us feel less stressed. When she would walk in our door at 9pm every night, we would breathe a giant sigh of relief knowing we could get some sleep and our little nugget was in the best hands. She had a way of talking to me every night when she arrived that made me feel less overwhelmed about the emotions and overall transition to motherhood that I was experiencing. She also made sure to listen to all my concerns and questions regarding the baby each night and offer great ideas/advice/thoughts on what to do. She arrived every night with a warm smile on her face and she felt like another member of our family. She helped my husband and I get some rest in those early weeks of parenthood so we could wake up every morning and be the best version of ourselves for our new son. Becca would arrive at the beginning of each week with home cooked snacks and meals. The food was absolutely delicious, healing, and helped take some of the stress off of having to cook. She also genuinely loved our son and would love to hear updates each night on what he did that day. It was so fun to see someone care so much for my son and know that he was taken care of with so much love and warmth. We do not know how we would have survived those first few weeks of parenthood without Becca!! She was more than I could have ever hoped for from a postpartum doula!”
“Becca was absolutely amazing! I’m so grateful she was part of our birth team. I was connected to her through our hypnobirthing teacher and it was important to me that she was familiar with those tools. She has the most calm and loving energy which was exactly perfect for the 30 hours of labor I experienced.
As my due date approached she consistently reached out to check in to see how I was doing and feeling, and she has done the same in the following weeks since our baby arrived as well! As soon as I told her we were heading to the hospital when I started having contractions she said she was on her way too and she was by our sides the entire time. She helped us look at all sides of the situation when we needed to make decisions about certain things that came up during labor that we were unsure about. She was amazing at helping me breathe through contractions and did whatever she could to keep me as comfortable as possible from feeding me ice chips to rubbing my back and feet and so much more.
Becca is incredible and I recommend her to everyone considering having a doula by their side. Her love and support throughout the entire time is so genuine and beautiful! Not only was it amazing for me but the constant support she gave my husband was so helpful and appreciated by us both. Thank you so much Becca, I cannot thank you enough! ”

“Becca was an integral part of my birthing team. She worked with us during my pregnancy to get to know my birthing preferences, create an awesome birth plan (the hospital staff loved our format), provided me evidence based information about concerns my doctor had, and help us practice different techniques we would use during labor. Becca was there every step of the way and has a very calm and supportive presence. She helped me to focus on the big picture when things didn’t go according to my plan and Becca reminded me of the small details that make a huge impact when I was overwhelmed. Not only does she understand how labor will progress and helps with comfort positions and movements, but she also understood the importance of more subtle things like cuddling with my partner. In the words of Becca, “everything that got the baby in there will help get the baby out”. When my labor was getting towards the end and things were becoming very intense it was Becca’s calm voice that helped to keep me grounded. She helped to slow moments down so that I could have the labor that I wanted, when the nurse had my laying down on the bed to start pushing Becca ask me if I wanted to push on my side, which is what I had wanted I just forgot during all the excitement. It was these reminders that allowed me to have the birth that I planned. Becca stayed with me after the baby was born and helped us get settled in recovery. I would not have had the unmedicated birth in a hospital that I wanted if it wasn’t for Becca, she prepared us with all the tools we needed to be successful and then helped us implement them when we were overwhelmed. Overall, she is a great doula and any birthing person would benefit from having her on their birth team.”

“Having Becca as our Doula was a wonderful decision. Even though we had decided to give birth in a hospital, we were still nervous about the birthing process. Having Becca explain our options and having her relate her past experiences was very comforting to both of us. Becca has a serenity about her that was able to soothe our anxieties. All of her services are important, but I especially liked having her be available to come to the house when labor begins to progress steadily. For us it happened during the middle of the night, and Becca came to our house at 2:30 am and then we went to the hospital at 3am. Having her around was such a great experience. We had gone over our birth plan with her, and we knew if/when we forgot something in the stress of the moment, she would step in to remind us and the hospital staff. In addition to all of the emotional support she also had the time to set up mood lights in the hospital room, all in all she went above and beyond in order to make us feel as calm and comfortable as possible. We will never forget her effort in getting us to a wonderful place for the birth of our daughter. Thank you!”
